This neighbour hood store provides more services than a tiny store. I did Passport Photo here, Key Cutting here, Computer Repair here, Cell phone Top Up, Money transfer and ATM, Even Dry Cleaning. I would say, it is so convenience to us. I like it.

We love visiting this location of Choices and perusing the aisles and aisles of great products they have on offer. While they offer a wide variety of organic produce, dairy and meat they also offer a good selection of less expensive conventional products that are naturally raised. With friendly staff and great service we are often happy to spend our money here. They have nice little touches too like a balloon for the kids or the classic grocery store horsey ride that is still only 25 cents (!) just outside the store. Choices also has a great selection of specials that they offer every week and a great selection of vitamins and supplements for every need. The location is a little teeny bit out of the way but easy to get to and they have great parking. There are also a few little shops around that make it worth the drive. Visit Choices for your organic and natural food needs!

This store is easily one of our daughter's favourite stores to visit. I mean, whats not to love? They have a mechanical horse right out front, they have a miniature train which chugs around the store on a track suspended from the ceiling, they give helium balloons to the kids, they have a big aquarium and they are often sampling tasty food right inside the door. Combine this with all of the great attributes of all the Choices stores like organics and natural food items and we love it too!

WOW! I didn't realized there's such a store where you can buy different flavours of balsamic vinegar and olive oils. Or I didn't even know that there's such flavoured balsamic vinegars like espresso, oregano, peach, pomegranate and many more. Same thing with their flavoured olive oils, are just too many to explore in one visit. So before buying your oil and balsamic from where you usually get them, visit De Oliva, you'll never regret it.

I have been a frequent customer at your store since it opened.
Occasionally I notice an exceptional employee (there are many) and I commend them in this space.
Today I encountered such an employee and would like to commend him to your attention. Unfortunately, I don't have his name, but he is a taller man maybe in his thirties and he appeared to be Persian.
He was working very hard in the yogourt section at around 6:OO PM. I approached him and commented on his hard work:a valuable employee!

A great little store. Like it's sisters in town, it has wonderful, unique offerings in the front half of the store, but it has an excellent selection of regular groceries in the back half. Some things are a bit expensive, but they are oh so worth the extra. Right now, they have "Spot prawns" which are obscenely great tasting. Check it out. It's worth it@

Staff are very helpful!! Their meats and fish are extremely fresh and they have a top notch meat manager that goes out of his way to be helpful! During Covid it’s the only place I felt safe as they took great precautions and having senior hours to shop made it that much better! It’s a neighborhood treat to have them there!!

Urban Fare is another very neat place for the foodie in you. They offer a terrific selection of ready-made foods that you can assemble for an impromptu picnic on the seawall or take home for an easy dinner. They offer an excellent selection of produce and carry many organic and many unusual items and the produce always looks great. Their meat and seafood is also incredible and is one of the few places that I have ever seen Kobe beef available for sale. Did I mention the cheese? Oh my goodness the cheese! The selections are varied and excellent and there are often samples of cheese that you can try before you buy. Moving into the aisles introduces you to an awesome selection of brands and products that you won't find at an average grocery store and they are fantastic! Urban Fare is a must for the foodie in you!

The parking lot is tiny and awkward but you can also park on the street. They are closed for a while after lunch rush before opening for dinner at 5p (?). Everything is beautifully prepared and very generous proportions. The staff are very friendly and most accomodating to any substitutions you may want to make. Room is drafty on a cool day. Lots of us 'regulars' are addicted to their 'Spring Rolls' Very large portion served cut in small pcs with dipping sauce and rice or noodles. makes a very large meal,you wouldnt have room for anything more by yourself. If you share and get maybe 2 other dishes,that would be plenty for 4 people.

We lunch here everytime we come to Nanaimo after we accidently dropped into the mall where it is located more than 7 Winters ago.
About 6 months ago The original small crowded (not only at regular mealtimes) expnded when an adjacent location became free. This has not stopped the need to wait for a seat at peak times though.
The atmosphere is open, new, with friendly staff, eager to get you seated, take your order and bring you your selections. It all can take place as quickly as you are ready to order and service is quick and efficient. We have tried most dishes and have our favourites which are Salad rolls (shrimp with veggies and noodles wrapped in a rice wrapper), Beef Satay soup, one of the curries, well it isn't easy to pick juse one.
Soups are served in large bowls and usually include one type of noodle, some veffies, meat or not, of your choice and depending on your order, may be accompanied by a dish of sprouts, Asian basil, lime and a few red chillies.
There is a waiting area when the place is full where you can sit or stand and watch one of three flat screens until a table is available for you.
Many regulars from the surrounding commercial and industrial area and we have been there many times when it opens at 11:00 to see people waiting for tables well before noon.
The broth is hot - temperature wise, so sip!

Stong's is another example of what a grocery store should be. Mostly food, lots of quality produce and fresh bakery and butcher selection and great service. I gather at one time there were several of these stores in the Lower Mainland and this store is the last of their kind. Thank goodness. A great place to buy all kinds of staples and also some hard to find items that aren't carried at major chains. Stong's is what the neighbourhood supermarket should be and their constant stream of customers is a testament to the quality and excellent customer service on offer.
