Highly overated food, I've never been happy with my meal, but I'm very picky and others that I dine with seem to always love it. It's never terrible, but I've never been blown away either, and there always seems to be a problem of some sort, you probably don't eat like me so I'm sure you'll enjoy it, if you are like me just get a burger, you won't hate it. The atmosphere is the best in town and the beer selection is out of this world. I certainly recommend going there before a night on the town

Met my friends for a lovely supper visit. Pleasantly welcomed upon arrival, Jason was our server and did a great job. Very clever and attentive, knowledgeable and just fun. I enjoyed the Asian stir fry which was beautifully presented, hot and delicious. My friends totally enjoyed their meals as well. We just had a great fun evening. Certainly will return again. I arrived in St. Johns off a cruise ship suffering what we soon figured out as sever side effects from a sea sickness patch. Blurred vision and pressure behind eyes. Dr Caissie and his staff were wonderful in squeezing me in during his lunch break. I found Dr. Caisse to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and all around caring person. He went as far as checking up on me a few days later and then after I arrived back home from the cruise. Anyone would be lucky to have him as an Optometrist!

I think the title of the review says it all, or almost. What a treat this place is! There can't be more than a dozen tables inside, with a couple more outside, and there were plenty of folks already enjoying the atmosphere when I arrived for a light lunch.
On arrival you are greeted with GENUINE smiles from the courteous staff who obviously love working here, and a free small sample of tea. My sample was Lapsang Souchong... a bit too smokey for my taste, but interesting none the less.
I ordered one of the lunch specials, Moroccan chicken and couscous soup, an egg salad sandwich, and from the rather extensive tea menu I chose the Assam Borengajuli tea. What can I say? It was lovely; a nice, light lunch, delicious soup (although I did have to add a bit of pepper for taste) and an excellent egg salad sandwich. I don't think I've ever considered an egg salad sandwich to be "refreshing" before, but this one was! It wasn't really anything special but it was good. Nice light whole-wheat bread, some nice crispy iceberg lettuce and egg salad that wasn't overpowered by the mayonnaise... or whatever was used. It was perfect!
And the tea, well... I had never heard of "Assam Borengajuli" before, but I'll be danged if it isn't my new favorite! Absolutely delicious tea.
For no particular reason, the word "genteel" springs to mind... A very nice experience over all, and I'm sure I will return. I'd recommend it to anyone.

On Aug 8th I had to take my wife to the emergency at St. John regional hospital at about 0630 PM hrs , anyway we would like to thank all the hospital staff & medical people for the service we received , we were processed by triage and the medical system within two hrs and that was including getting to a drug store . The NB government and the St John Regional hospital can be proud of this service, thetheir organization and system. Being from AB this visit in Our hosp would have been 6-8 hrs min.

PROS-- Best cupcakes I've ever had. Pictures of the cakes they make are Truly works of art. They have a great variety of wonderfully delicious flavours. Did a good job designing their building. Nice helpful staff! CONS--- price. $14 for 6 cupcakes. Seriously?? I mean I buy them as a treat but it's an extravagant treat. Location. Uptown- very little parking, awkward to get to, need to pay for parking, etc. I usually avoid uptown at all costs but have made a few rare exceptions to go there for a treat.

There were other patrons who were clearly regulars which always speaks well for the value.
Nicely portioned and presented.Huge menu 60+ tapas!!
I ordered the goat cheese fig tapenade, the flambé scallops (amazing), chocolate shrimp(superbe)..
It was pleasantly very good portion!
the dessert to die for, manchego frito... excellent deal!
