Good food, good service(slow drink service but I think the waiters are also the bartenders), and great location\atmosphere. Bit of a boring spring menu but anxious to go back and see what they create for summer. Close to Niagara region and lots of wonderful fresh produce and farm products. I recently had lunch (3rd time) at Envers of Morriston, and WOW. What an amazing little secret just south of Guelph. The food was amazing, and watching the Chefs walk out to the garden and get the vegetables and herbs that were going into my food was refreshing. The food was absolutely amazing. Went in expecting edge, sexiness, good food and I guess they've gone mainstream.There isn't an up-to-date review of this branch so I am writing one. I have never been to their restaurants and wanted to take in the atmosphere including the gorgeous ladies in their tight skirts. It was a disappointment to step into this location after all the promise and be shown to the booth. The staff is dressed very much as you would expect at any chain restaurant. This is not the promise. Too bad. The food was good, but since Earls charges more than the average I expect the staff and ambience to be excellent too. I am not sure what else to say. No miniskirts, no low cut blouses, nothing. The chicken was good and quite honestly the place was super clean. It's just that we were looking for the Earls experience as stated here and we didn't get it here. We didnt bother ordering drinks as this location doesn't really invite lounging. I had a dream about eating at this place last night, so I thought that I'd write a review! I've eaten at this place a handful of times and I've never had a bad experience...ever. I would go more often, but it's very out-of-the-way for me. I usually get the chicken burrito and free chips+homemade salsa are included. The meat is fresh and not dry like other places! Salsa is definitely not Old El Paso. Aside from the homemade and freshness of the food, what sets it apart is the non-chain decor and the friendliness of the staff. The atmosphere at El Sombrero really makes you feel as though you're somewhere else - as opposed to a strip mall in Mississauga. :) Again, I wish that they're open up a location south, closer to me, an actual sit-down restaurant with servers, and an extended menu will probably succeed as well since there aren't any Mexican restaurants nearby! Definitely worth the trek, this place has great food, entertaining atmo and super models serving your table! Super busy so don't expect a table during the dinner rush, at least not without a wait. We ordered burgers, and were not at all disappointed! Not only is the bun perfectly crisp, but it has so much flavour with a bit of heat, unlike most burgers and fries where you only taste the grease. You need the good food because you need an excuse to come here coz your wife/girlfriend/mum will suspect it is to bathe in blonde super models and the excuse is good Lire plus

This is one of those family restaurant places that you get a ton of food for what you pay. When we order takeout, we spend maybe about $10 a person. $15 at most. The atmosphere is really relaxed and cozy with some nice booths and personable staff. (Lights are a little dim.) The orange chicken is one of the best dishes here and vegetables are good. The first time I went here I was quite disappointed with my dinner. It lacked flavour and the parts that did have flavour were far too spicy. After waiting several months I ordered take out with my friend last week and was pleasantly surprised. This time the food had much more flavour and the spices were at just the right level so that they enhanced the flavours rather than obscure them. I will definitely go back from now on. Lire plus

What excellent service and atmosphere. My server, Christopher, was refined, courteous and attemtive. What I found outstanding was his ability to deliver a plate to the table as a sincere communication between two mutually respectful persons. No banging of plates! Everything was cooked expertly and was served promptly snd piping hot. This restaurant is a treat not to be missed by all breakfast enthusiasts for miles around. You will want to come back again and again. Classy, clean, comfortable, and absolutely positive atmosphere. Unbeatable food quality...reasonably priced. BRAVO... My husband and I both ordered the ham and eggs breakfast, which came with toast, jam, and home fries. The ham wasn't greasy, the scrambled eggs were "real ", and the home fries were piping hot. Kudos to the cook in the kitchen. The coffee was hot, but too strong for my tastes. Charlene, our server, made sure our cups were topped up and that we were satisfied with our meal. Price of coffee is included in the price of breakfast, and if you're there before 11:30 there's a $1 discount per plate. We would definitely go again if we were passing through this area. Lire plus

My Family, friends and I have been going to the Egg and I for years and although I never thought of writing a review, I have to this time. We were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for a table to clear, it was packed! We celebrated my birthday last Sunday and I was craving their Herb Feta Omelette, with a side of Cherry Pink Bacon, which in my opinion is the BEST brand to buy, and cooked to my perfection. Our drinks came out fast, coffee was fresh and always available but what I appreciated most was all our food came out at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their order and we all devoured the Banana Walnut Pancakes. I've been to fine dining and can't stand when my portion is the size of my palm and our food is not served at the same time. The Egg and I is a wonderful, fun Family Breakfast restaurant in Hamilton. I went here for lunch on a windy day with my mom. The first thing you see is a big case of baked goods and the simple yet elegant decor. We were very pleased to see homemade soup on the menu. The waitress was very friendly and made suggestions at our request. We decided to go with soup - tomato and mushroom barley. The soup came in generous sized bowls, biscuits and bread. The soup was very good. I preferred the mushroom barley as it was more savoury, thick and filling, delicately herbed with dill, etc. The tomato was obviously homemade, but a little sweet and a little bland for my tastes, but I'm particular about soup. They also had a sausage soup which according to the waitress was excellent. The homemade biscuits were ok but nothing to write home about. We ordered tea and the waitress attentively kept coming back to refill hot water. We saved room for dessert, and the baking case looked amazing. Particularly good-looking was the golden flaky pastry of the butter tarts and the fruit pie, but we were craving chocolate and their turtle cookies were what we eventually choose. While these cookies were small they were very decadent, rolled in nuts and topped with homemade caramel. Soup : 6.50 ish, Tea 2 ish, Cookies 2 each I would come back here for lunch or for a sweet treat. Lire plus
