Hands down the best place to grab a bite and a cold one in Midland. Patio right on the water and excellent service as well as Live Entertainment - what's not to love! My husband and I were recently at the Mill Cafe for lunch with a few friends from out of town. We have been local to the area, but had not been in since the restaurant was renovated. The decor was delightful and vibrant, with unique artwork covering the walls. We were pleasantly greeted by our server who encouraged us to sit wherever we pleased. The menu was fun and fresh and we found it extremely difficult to have to choose from all the delicious items. Our lunch arrived very quickly, and we were more and more pleased with every bite. IT WAS EXTRAORDINARY! We felt very welcomed by both serving and kitchen staff (as this is an open concept restaurant) and we will gladly be back again! ... and again! Lire plus

We were served by Angus. Very friendly and gave us a lot of toruistic information on Collingwood and Blue Mountain. Food was amazing, husband had fish n chips and I chose the Thai prawn curry, dishes looked impeccable and the taste stood up to the looks. If we came again would definitely pay Kelsey’s a visit. This restaurant is the best for good food and friendly service. The staff are just amazing and don't mind talking to you and always make sure every thing is alright. The food is to die for. It is sooo good, the hard part is figuring out what to order because there is so much really good food. I would suggest to anyone that they dine here. I've eaten here many times since moving to the area and have introduced several friends to it now too. It's a small little place with a hockey theme. The booths are kind of small and can be a little claustrophobic, but there are tables out in the open area as well. The food is usually really good. I recommend their nachos. These are not your usual nachos, but are made with cross-cut potatoes with your nacho fixings on top (beef, jalapenos, cheese, olives, peppers). If you're not a big eater, just have this appetizer and you'll be full. The salads are fresh and there are usually some creative things on the specials board. Soups are good and homemade. And if you're a hockey fan, you might run into a few of the Owen Sound Attack on occasion too. Lire plus

Love this place. Fish and Chips the specialty and they are great. But try the pan fried pickerel, oh my! Other menu items good too. We almost always go back to the pickerel. Staff are fun, rather than formal. If Ken is there, he tries to take a minute to say hello, old or new customers. Lire plus

Mostly excellent food here. Had one bad lunch where we were not impressed with the food taste on a few items. Off day? The other dozen visits food was excellent! Recommend the feta and spinach frittata! The included fruit tidbits are typically really fresh and tasty too. Service is good, friendly and fairly quick food delivery. There aren't many places in the area where one can get fish & chips, unless they drive to Barrie and go to Fancies Fish & Chips. Blue Water Fish & Chips is a small restaurant with a tired decor. Mind you there are historical photos of boats that have travelled Georgian Bay & the Great Lakes and are interesting to look at.. We love the halibut served here. While the portion size is small it is extremely tasty, with mild tasting halibut and a golden batter. After the second or third bite you can taste & feel the grease but isn't that to be expected with deep fried fish? I've never eaten fish & chips that I haven't tasted the grease. We hate it when the restaurant is closed for vacation. We love eating here and they even have lots of newspapers and reading material for those of us that prefer to read while we're eating. All we've ever ordered has been the fish & small chips or else we'll order 2 fish and a small chip each and we never go away hungry. Lire plus
