I am confused by the "American" designation, since it is clearly German, right down to the delicious spaetzle and red cabbage. (You can only get the red cabbage if you ask, it isn't on the menu.)
The schnitzels are very good, with ample portions. (We have never tried the homemade desserts -- too full!) The meat is tender and set off well by the fine breading. My husband has tried every schnitzel on the menu, and has a hard time declaring a favourite - he enjoys them all.
The coffee is very good, the warm bun that comes prior to the meal is a nice treat. The service is usually very pleasant. A little more than a standard lunch in terms of cost, but worth it.

I purchased a mattress on sale at this location and I absolutely cannot fault any aspect of the whole transaction, beginning and ending with the salesperson, Patience. She went out of her way including on her days off to assist us and follow up the purchase, and the whole organization seems to be well-run in terms of how sales are handled and followed up. We purchased a reclining sectional & a recliner from Bennetts about 15 yrs ago. The mechanism broke in one seat on the couch after about 7 yrs or so. Bennetts came to my house,removed the broken section of the couch and repaired it at no cost to us. We are very hard on our furniture so I was surprised and pleased that we were able to get over 10 yrs of use out of the furniture. I have just ordered another recliner from them and am looking forward to another long lasting piece of furniture.
