I am a frequent customer of Alternate Grounds Cafe for the last 4 years. The quality and Service has always been exceptional since Brian and Tammy took over, and their staff have always been pleasant and accommodating.
The Soups and Salads are by far some of the best in the city.....they are always fresh and homemade and the prices are cheaper than what you would pay at most places in town.
The Cafe offers full table service on weekends and although in the beginning there were some kinks to work out...they really have a grip on it now. The weekend breakfast specials are fantastic and you can't get them anywhere else in town.
In regards to the previous Review about their "healthy" options......if you actually asked questions you would find that everything is done on "weight Watchers " points system and is all done with low or no fat ingredients, which is a little better than their already healthy regular menu. Please note that you WILL NOT find any kind of deep fried product in this building!!!!!
In the summer and winter the Cafe has an exceptional view of the Sarnia Bay and is always better than looking at some kind of building.
The Daily specials and the once a month dinners the cafe are simply fantastic.
I have never stopped going there and will gladly continue to frequent the restaurant

We absolutely love the Thai food at the South East Cafe.My kids 7 and 3 love it there.We dine there at least once a week.We find the food very flavourful and the smells are outstanding.We've had everything from the Pad Thai,Beef and Broccoli,Beef and Mushroom the yellow curry,Beef and Chili is my 7 year olds favorite.My 3 year old loves the Stirfry Chicken and Cashew nut.The egg rolls are amazing,the best I've ever had.We've never had anything we didn't like.Even the desserts are fabulous.
As for the atmosphere,it's nice and quiet,the decor is subtle and refreshing.One of the cleanest restaurants I've seen.And I've worked in the business for over 25 years.
The servers are wonderful and knowledgable.They're friendly and quick.
And now since this restaurant has opened we rarely eat out anywhere else.

I must say that the previous post is extremely dramatized, and someones in-aquatic post slanders persons without holding any kind of weight due to free posting on this section. Kaitlin is by far respectful, professional and on her game. I have never had any problem with the service, beverage or food ( and i love my beach bar ) at this starbucks or with Kaitlin.
The overall service at this location is top notch ! The people working here should be very proud of themselves to be able to serve the hundreds a day with the same quality and service as the first person that enters the doors when its open in the morning ! I rate the store and all employees 10/10 thanks for your continued dedication to all downtown persons !

Had a small problem and asked the manager at London Road location if I could exchange an unopen gift for coffee. Sorry; cant do without a receit. Company policy. Went to Cathcart Starbucks; manager was so pleasant and said Sure. I only wanted to exchange a unused new gift item for coffee. Thanks to the manager at Cathcart; will certainly take my business to you. Thanks
