On the outside, this place looks "meh" but walk in and it is lovely and charming and CLEAN. We didn't feel like Italian but we thought we would take a chance on a basic burger, fries and coca cola. There is nothing basic about this burger. It was fresh and made with love and the fries were freshly cut and perfecto.I could see part of the kitchen from where we sat and it was as clean as my mama's kitchen. Next test was the bathroom. As I guessed, it was clean! Waitress was lovely and efficient. The portion was generous, so much so that I could not finish my meal so she boxed it up and the burger tasted phenomenal even the next day. What is your secret? Only recommendation, update the exterior to reflect interior. The interior should eventually be updated but the fact that it was clean made me jump for joy!! Lire plus

This place came up when I asked some friends about a good burger joint in Kingston. I gave it a shot and I have to agree the food is great. The burgers are large portion, and the sweet potato fries where great along with the chipotle mayo. The two meals and an appetizer ran up a pretty healthy bill, but it was worth it. Ate in restaurant first time. Food was amazing. Service was great, except it was very hard to hear the server due to dining area was extremely loud. Try it! Generous with the cheese and delivered hot. You may need a knife to separate the slices once you get it home. The sauce is great and the dough is a perfect mix of crispy and soft. If you're into dipping sauce this place has the best, fresh-made garlic dip I have ever tasted. Their toppings are real and fresh, so when you ask for bacon, you get real bacon. Hands down the best quality of ingredients and dish presentation in the area.Not pub food which is what most other eating establishments in town are. We arrived in Kingston for a hockey tournament and searched for a restaurant that was able to accommodate a group of 40, half of which were kids. The owner together with his staff welcomed our team and did an amazing job. The kids had a great time, the service was the best we've seen from any east side Mario's, and they did a great job on the food. Hats off to the staff and the owner for going above and beyond!
