We have visited Watermark several times, and unlike most of the posters have never had a problem. Except. they should ban smoking on the patio, although that might be a city bylaw. Our recent visit was a busy, sunny Sunday at around noon. We were told it would be about 10 minutes to be seated, actually it turn out to be around 5 minutes. After being seated our waitress showed up in good time and asked for our drink order, she showed up quickly with our drinks and took our food order. She said the kitchen was quite busy and our order might take a little longer than usual. We asked about appetizers that might hold us to the food arrived and she said they really don't serve them. Imagine our surprise when showed up a little while later with a plate of mini muffins for us, and then, refilled the plate. I know it's not much.....but it was something. And actually, it didn't seem like too long till our food arrived. The only complaint was from my daughter....kids.....who said, and this well be somewhat odd, her tacos had too much topping on them, and that the meat sauce made the tortilla chips "soggy". She may right on "soggy" bit, but she likes the chips most of all :-) . It was a good lunch, and everyone enjoyed their meal, although the accompanying salads with sandwiches were on the small side. Chicken club was made with a chicken breast, and lobster clubs had plenty of filling. If I have a different experience, I'll post it. Lire plus

My husband and I came here for lunch with our three boys and we were not disappointed! Three of us ordered the fish and chips - husband said they were the best in the City he has ever had. Light batter and lots of fish. I had a small greek salad with extra chicken - very tasty, and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. My middle child had the "killer" burger and he was very pleased. Portions were very good, price was right and everything tasted great. Not your greasy spoon type - very clean Lire plus

This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation). It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. I ended up at this restaurant today because I was craving a pork souvlaki but have been constantly disappointed by anything in Etobicoke. I found it on this site – there were so many over the top reviews that I thought they must be phony. However, once I read the review where someone had an argument with the owner over coleslaw juice getting on their fries and said they’d never go back (but admitted it was the best fish and chips in Toronto) I knew this place must be good. Well I didn’t have the fish and chips but WOW – I had the best pork souvlaki I’ve had in years. The Greek salad was simple with a really fresh dressing. I was here on a friday night te place is small and most likely family owned BUT the halibut and chips were delicious! The halibut is perfectly crisp and the fries are crisp but not overcooked! We decided to go to McNies on a Saturday for lunch. We were greated by a very pleasant woman who would be our server. Our food arrived quickly and was great, the fish was nicely battered (not too heavily battered but not skimpy either).
