I have to prempt everything that I am going to say with I did enjoy the food so much that I may go there again for dinner (am on contract in the area). The hot and sour sea-food soup appeared to be small, but when the flavours filled my mouth, and I discovered 3 large cleaned shrimp (only tail bit remaining) I'm happy to say I'm quite pleased with this selection. The mango salad was not available as a 'plain' mango salad, but also came with shrimp, making it $5-$7 more than I usually pay for mango salad. Again the shrimp were large, clean and fresh (good 'bite', not soggy at all), but the dressing seemed made at the last minute and didn't contain the rich complexity that the soup did. We ordered a couple of appetizer, they wer ok, nothing special. I am a huge fan of Asian food, but unfortunately had nowhere to go for good Korean food since moving to Ottawa, until I found Koreana that is. Koreana is a low key gem tucked away on Somerset. The staff is always super friendly and service is very quick. Tea along with complimentary appetizers are brought within a couple minutes. On to the food. I absolutely love the bulgogi which is at least as good if not better than most of the competition in in Toronto. It's always sizzling hot and if you don't put a napkin on your lap you are bound to have some crackling oil drops land there. The meat is very well marinated and tender, and the portions are very big. The various stews are likewise very good, my favorite is the pork stew. They also service sushi but I have never had to chance to try it. The bulgogi is just too hard to pass up. As with most Korean restaurants, your order is accompanied by complimentary side dishes like kimchi and seaweed. All are very good except the occasional broccoli salad which I'm not a fan of. Koreana has now become one of my monthly haunts. Highly recommended. Lire plus

On Wednesdays Montana's has an "all you can eat beef rib night", its worth the trip and go there hungry. They have 2 choices of beef ribs "back" or "side" ribs, back ribs are more tender and have more meat on them. Its a fantastic meal and very delicious, I find myself dreaming of those ribs the rest of the week. Sadly they do not offer the same meal any other night of the week, its a one night only affair, the rest of the week they offer only a pork bone substitute for "Ribs" which is not at all like on rib night. Another annoying thing is you cannot switch rib type once you start so choose carefully. I know they have Rib night in several other Montana's restaurants in the Ottawa area on the same night but I don't know if it's chain wide, check with your local restaurant. The Wednesday night beef ribs are the best I've ever had. Lire plus

I am a celiac and I just discovered this restaurant! When you walk in they ask if you need a gluten free menu which is something I’ve never been asked before. They have an amazing variety of options for gluten free. The service was insanely good and there was nothing but an evening filled with laughs and a great environment. Our party of 6 sat out on the patio for our supper on a beautiful sunny day at the end of May. The service was good and for the most part the food was ok except for two out of our party who ordered the hamburgers. Its disappointing that they can't make the effort to make their own patties. Espcially considering our wait time. Its not like the food was served super fast. In fact, it took a while but we didn't mind as we weren't in a rush. Anyways, the burger patties are the kind of processed "precooked" patties that you can buy in the frozen food section at a grocery store. Rubbery and very off putting. A disappointment! I had the NY strip steak, not bad but I ordered rare and it wasn't rested when they served it. Not a big deal. We also had the calamari, zuccini sticks and patotoe skins for appetizers. All passable but nothing to write home about. I'd go back again for a drink and an appetizer but I probably wouldn't have a meal. I love the pub inside, very old school british pub feel. I think it would be cosy in the winter. The patio has a great view and is a nice place to go for a drink. Lire plus

This was my first time here……wow….everything was delist! I had the prime rib beef dip…amazing! Also the sweet potato fries accompanies the sandwich. The serving was hugh, and couldn’t eat it all. But hubby helped, lol As for the dessert, I couldn’t resist, I know…no dessert if you don’t finish your plate! My sister highly recommended the peanut butter cheese cake….I just had to have it!
