We've been to the Granite Brewery a number of times as the food is always fantastic with generous portions. In addition to the delicious food, they have a good selection of their own brews. We especially enjoyed their Ringwood, a delightful blonde. There are different atmospheres for different tastes, but at the Granite Brewery they have several to choose from. Two excellent patios, a bar, and a family restaurant area, all designed for comfort. The rear patio looks particularly amazing, but as it was raining, we'll just have to wait until next time to try it out. It should also be noted that the Granite Brewery has free parking with easy access. The Granite Brewery gets our highest recommendation and we will be back soon. Lire plus

Had dinner there on a Sunday night recently. I have walked by many times not realizing how nice the dining room was. There is a fun bar area up front that I noticed walking by , but I wasn't expecting such a nice room in back. Started with oysters, followed by a veal dish. My wife had the beef tenderloin, both were excellent. Server was smooth and there whenever he was needed. Great wine list. Lire plus

The inside of this restaurant is quintessential diner. The lady behind the bar was very friendly as was our server. The food came out quickly, hot, and fresh even though it was a busy time of the day. For the price, the sandwich was a little small but given the location so near to Yonge & Dundas I suppose higher prices should be expected. The huevos rancheros came with 2 eggs, a generous amount of black beans, avocado, and chorizo sausage as well as a delicious corn muffin. The waiter that sat us down was extremely nice as was the waitress serving us. The enthusiastic attitude of both of them definitely made this place having amazing service. The service is not the same at the Casey's near AMC in Scarborough. The service here was outstanding. The atmosphere needs no mentioning as its a given with a chain of what to expect - the same thing as last time. The grilled chicken on salad was above average. Lire plus

How does this place have such a middling rating? Is it simply THE place to watch a game. Any game. As great as the setting is for watching sports, for me the food and beer selection are the heroes. The "wing king" chef earns his title, and the range of beers wipes the floor with Bier Markt. Yes, it's busy on game nights. Might have something to do with being situated next to the ACC, and a stones-throw away from the Dome. Lire plus
