iI have brought my two diesel VWs to Ian since the mid-2000s. He has done major servicing on the newer one, including change the timing belt, change out the front springs for taller ones, and install a 1 inch lift for the rears. When I found a donor parts car for my original VW, we struck a deal for him to swap parts off the running car for better ones off the dead one. Then he bought it for more parts for his race car. No complaints whatsoever!!

My 2013 CRV had its engine actuator replaced which became faulty later. Frank (proprietor) replaced it with no cost to me. He could have easily charged me. He is very honest, knowledgeable and family oriented. I can recommend him to anybody looking for a good and honest repair facility in Ottawa.

Was utterly impressed with my recent experience bringing my vehicle into Takaki Automotive for an e-test. Scheduling (and multiple rescheduling) of my appointment was dealt with effortlessly and with a smile by Hiroshi, the owner's son. I was made to feel like I had not inconvenienced anyone and that they would simply re-gig things to accommodate my changing schedule.
My actual appointment was a pleasant experience. I had the opportunity to sit in Takaki's welcoming wait room (where coffee, an aquarium, tv and decorations await) while enjoying my conversation with the friendly receptionist and other staff who would occasionaly venture by. Takaki's team is one big family - happy, respectful and very helpful with all my questions.
I am told Mr. Takaki sr himself is a caring man of many diverse talents. On this visit, the gentleman was busy outside, wielding a huge metal pick to chip ice from the walkway. I hope for the opportunity of chatting with him too, during my next visit.
The fee charged for today's visit was very reasonable; the information provided afterwards was helpful and there was no attempt to "upsell" or solicit additional work. I would highly recommend. this business.

I've been dealing exclusively with Dave since I bought my 2005 KIA Sedona during the bus strike in Ottawa. Always honest and upfront. Never charged for more than was needed.
The fact that they usually came in under budget amazed me.

Honest mechanic, doesn't sell you anything you don't need. Quick, accommodating, (saw me the next day after I called and finished my job in an hour). I asked him to check a few other things for me as I bought my car used and he honestly said I didn't need to fix them.
