This is a wonderful place in a true mountain town. If you expect Aspen or Vail food and service, do not bother. But if you want delicious coffee and excellent hearty fare, you will not be disappointed. The village of Field is absolutely historic in the story of train travel through the Canadian Rockies. And time is leaving it alone. :>)

If you can get past the mediocre service (think bar waitresses and cooks who must fall asleep on the job) - the food is fantastic! It is pub-fare done right.
We've been there a couple times (passing through to Banff) - always really hungry when arriving - always really satisfied on leaving.
There is a live band stage. Stayed a couple minutes for that once, but the pub is a bit small for the sound system - nearly blew us out the window on the first chord!

I love going to Banff and stopping by the Fudgery and getting some freshly made fudge. Nothing else compares in the world. My favorite thing to get is the caramel fudge. You do not need to buy a lot because you end up eating all of it before going home! A must for anyone in the area.

Awesome restrauant, obviously under great management. My Fliet Mignon was perfect. My wife's steak was slightly under cooked, but she's just picky. Very accomodating and fun. Our server--Eric-- was professional and fun. They gave us a complinentary dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary. 5 Stars and will definitely be returning.

Anybody looking for a unique experience has to try this restaurant . The food was amazing Mediterranean cuisine with an exotic twist to it , if you like flavour and if you like to try something different this place is for sure to be tried . I think it is the only restaurant in Calgary with A real original atmosphere .If you like something different and exotic you will really enjoy this place highly recommend .Service was right on the money , The staff helped with great recommendations .
