what is happening to the food in the last 3 weeks? had their burger 2 weeks ago received i n 5 minutes. this got me wondering how it could be cooked so fast.(their burger is normally tasty and juicy.)this one was burnt around the edge and extremely dry inside.ate only 2 bites.this past week tried their fish and chips which are normally very tasty. order came out in less than 10 minutes crust very hard fish inside dry. not like normal.i guest they must decook their food now. big mistake.
We decided to give Miltons another try since it's been a while that we've gone. We were pleasantly surprised. The inside of the restaurant has been revamped, and the food quality and portion sizes have returned to previous days. We stopped our weekly night outs here when they changed the sizes and prices, but the group will definitely be returning. You've changed our opinion with positive change. Well done!
This restaurant has been where my girlfriends and I have met every second Friday night for two years. In the past 6 months we have been noticing the restaurant changing, but not for the better. Late fall, the prices of all the items on the menu went up by $1 or 2 per meal. Then, a month later, the portions went down in size significantly. I understand rising costs, but pick one or the other-size or cost, not both. The food still tastes good, but not worth what meals cost anymore. We kept going hoping the changes weren't permanent, but no such luck. Needless to say, we have decided to change our meeting place and Miltons is losing about $100 every two weeks.
I find it hard to understand the negative comments of this restaurant and although it isn't hoit cuisine it sure as heck is a great place with super service. I found the people accomodating and personable. The food is well prepared and served in a timely fashion.......if you're in a hurry go to Mickey D's, idiot!
The place was clean and we liked it so much we went back for breakfast the next morning.
So if you ain't got nothin good to say, then just say nothing at all........or so my mother taught me.

my friend and i went to miltons today for wings.
After reading the reviews i was scared.
Now I don't know if they changed wings and then changed back but the wings were the same as they have always been. Big Juicy and Crispy. The last time I was there was in February so maybe they had time do flip flop. Highly recommend the mild wings (I like hot food but the mild are the best)

I thought that they had the best wings in town.
The pitcher and wing combo was a great price too.
They changed and are now ordering pre-packaged breaded wings like everybody else.
No more Milton's for me.

Too often I leave restaurants feeling ripped off but not this place. Service too is good and I didn't think it was 'dirty' as some have written but really, this place isn't the Charcoal. Go across the street if you want high end food and text book service with an appropriate price tag to match. But take note of the people walking out of Miltons across the street with a smile and a few extra bucks in their pocket! :)
I have to say that I am quite surprised that there are negative comments about Miltons. My husband and I, our little kids, entire familiy and friends frequent Miltons on a regular basis, usally every Thursday for Wings. The guys rave about the wings and have made this their "boys night out" spot for the past several months. We have never had a single bad meal, whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner, apps... nothing! If we are going out... this is usally the spot we hit for a great homecooked, fresh meal! Keep up the great work to the Miltons team!
This place is such a waste! It's got a great location, place looks nice - can look better, but the food is terrible! We ordered breakfst and it came cold and the place wasn't even busy (no wonder). The service was terrible, no 2 minute check, no refills, nothing. Don't waste your time here.
I only really go to this place for wings. They really do have the best in town. The wings are big and tasty. I can't tell you much else about the place other than that it is a good place to take the team after a baseball game.
The place is big and a bit on the dirty side. Bar area seemed cleaner (and busier). Charges for pop refills (petty) . My wife drinks enough for both of us, so one of us has to drive. Wings are okay and the breaded mushrooms were good. Restraunt seemed a little dark and dirty. Patio is big enough but a smokers haven now.
It is almost like a pub trying to be a restraunt and well...........
My husband and I have been dining at Miltons since it opened. We have always enjoyed the food as it is always well prepared and freshly made and served in a timely manner. The cheerful attitude of the servers just makes the dining experience even nicer they are a really nice group of people who take pride in what they do. It appears that quality and service are very important to the management there. So far in all the years of eating there I have not been disappointed with the food. Im shocked at some of the comments that have been posted as we have never encountered anything like what was posted in all our years of going there. This restaurant is truly a gem of restaurants in the twin cities. P.S. If you have not tried their milkshakes then you definitely need to try one they have the best shakes in town!!
The food was average; I was there two weeks ago and got a free refill on my diet pepsi; then this week they wanted to charge me $2.25 for a `refill.`I asked for a refill and the waitress brought me a `new`pop. I asked for the correction on my bill and was told they couldn`t do it so I demanded that they remove the `refill,` they change the bill to reflect what I had eaten and drank; they took the diet pepsi off my table and took the charge off my bill.
I will be going back on June 11th for a pre-arranged dinner with ex co-workers. They will be in for a shock when the find they are being charged for two soft beverages when they asked for a refill.
One waitress was such a lovely young lady; the other was gruff, rough and I can only pray that she is not my server for our group dinner. I feel so sorry for the poor waitresses and what they are subjected to by the owner-management.
The group dinner will be the last Milton`s will see of me and my friends.

We've only gone to Milton's for breakfast/lunch never dinner. I don't think its a dinner kind of place, they serve dinner, but I dont think it would be very good.
Most places offer free refills, we've had free ones before, but this time we were charged for each one. We didnt make a fuss about it, but that is ridiculous, the waitress perhaps was new? but they need to get it together there. That is why I am rating the service so poorly. Food is average, place is ok.

Was not sure what to expect with miltons but was very pleased with the atmosphere. Guess their was a recently new waitress, I think her name was maria. She was an amazing server who was very polite and we didnt have to wait long for our food.She was definetly on top of things. Overall I will be going back every chance I get. Thanks for the great meal
