Very disappointed 12.99 x3 adults 8.99x2 kids so 70.00 with tip !!
Very little food choices ..No flavor to the food. Not fresh lettuce to make a salad it was brown and wet. Green onions for the soup were almost dried completely out. No food choices for children that dont want Chinese food..except soggy microwaved pizza !

The buffet used to be great, now it looks dried out and picked over. Tried the take away last night and it consisted mostly (like 80%) of green peppers. This place has gone downhill :(

I have been eating from this restaurant for about 15 years now and i still love it to this day! Heck i already planned to order it for dinner tonight.

Great Food! Great Service! Good Accomodations! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants chinese food. There are misconceptions, however, of the Bamboo Restaurant's old location (where the Red Rice restaurant is... or WAS at the time of the review, leading to the poor review on Restaurantica, which should have been posted about the Red Rice Buffet rather than the Bamboo Restaurant, due to the moving of their location down the road.) So please disregard the poor review. On the contrary to that review, the Bamboo restaurant received the 2010 Peterborough Examiner's Reader's choice award for Best Chinese Food in town. The waitresses were very nice, and friendly, and the washrooms were cleaner than most that I've been to.
When we drove up to the building, on a Friday evening during a hockey tournament weekend and the parking lot was almost empty, we should have known better !! The service was just fine, for a buffet. The food looks fine, but once you start eating you realize that it is just "okay" in taste. Afterwards, it will keep you up all night with total indigestion... awful... and I would not go back.
food was bad, overcooked and tasteless. Not happy for what i paid for.. wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends or a place that i would ever recommend
