I thought it was great the workers were quick to order you meal and the were always coming round and topping up the coffee! The waffle was great n usually i dont eat v much bt i found i ate it all and i visited for my breakfast the whole time i was staying in toronto! the food was also a great value for money! would certainly go there again if i was in the area!!!
I've been to a few of Sunset Grills around the city and this doesn't vary from the norm. Generally, the food is good, as is the service.
The Yonge and Wellesley Sunset Grill is a bit disappointing. Coming in on a holiday Monday at 3pm, the restaurant was almost 75% empty. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken fast. None-the-less, the food took a long time to arrive. On top of this, the coffee was burnt and the strawberries in the fruit salad were brown and mushy (definitely off). The core of the breakfast (classic peameal, 3 eggs and hash browns) were superb and done exactly to order.
While the service was great, I came for the food. I guess the secret is to not order anything other than the basics, if you don't want to be disappointed.
